The Success Story of Gender and Sexuality Conference 2019
The 2nd International Conference on Gender and Sexuality 2019, was held on 03-04 October in Bangkok, Thailand under the theme “Re-thinking Gender and Sexuality: What do we know? What have we learnt? What’s next?”. The conference was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka in collaboration with the University of Johannesburg, South Africa as the Co-hosting partner `while University of Genova, Italy, and University of Balochistan, Pakistan as the academic partners for this year’s conference.
The conference provided an opportunity for delegates to share their valuable knowledge and experience of gender studies from various perspectives. Moreover, the conference welcomed 50+ participants from 18 countries around the world.
Inauguration Ceremony
The opening remarks of Gender and Sexuality 2020 were made by the Conference Chair Prof. Shahana Rasool (D. Phil Social Policy –Oxford, Associate Prof.: HEAD of Department of Social Work, University of Johannesburg, South Africa together with Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Managing Director, The International Institute of Knowledge Management).
